Cardio Equipment Bid
City will receive sealed Bids for CARDIO EQUIPMENT at the City of Sturgis, City Manager’s Office, 130 N. Nottawa Street, Sturgis, Michigan 49091 until Monday, July 11th, 2022, 4:00 p.m., local time. No Bids will be received after this date and time. Bids must be submitted on this form and shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, marked with “Bid Enclosed”, the project title and the name and address of the Bidder.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all Bids.

2022 Mill & Resurface Program Bid
City of Sturgis is requesting Bids for the construction of 2022 Mill & Resurface Program. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City Hall located at 130 N. Nottawa, Sturgis, Michigan, 49091, until 4:00 p.m. local time, July 18, 2022. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The project shall consist of 2.66 miles of HMA cold milling and resurfacing, 1,200 feet of HMA base crushing and shaping, structure cover adjustment, surface restoration, and pavement marking on fourteen (19) street segments in the City of Sturgis.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Fleis & VandenBrink, 4798 Campus Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49008; Ph: 269.385.0011. Bid Room at www.fveng.com. Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office.

Bidding Documents will be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will not be held.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Sturgis reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of Sturgis.

White Elephant Detention Basin Improvements Phase 2 Bids
The City of Sturgis will receive sealed Bids for construction of the White Elephant Detention Basin Improvements Phase 2 at the City of Sturgis Engineering Department (large conference room) located at 130 North Nottawa Street, Sturgis Michigan 49091 until Monday, July 11, 2022, at 4:00 p.m., local time. No Bids will be received after that time.

Bidding Documents are being issued from Fishbeck’s Grand Rapids office. Bidders should direct questions and correspondence to that office. Thurston Woods Splash Pad Development Bid
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Thurston Woods Splash Pad Development will be received by the City of Sturgis (attn. City Manager’s Office) at, 130 N. Nottawa, Sturgis, MI 49091, until 4:00 pm local time on August 1, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be opened and read aloud. The project consists of removal of existing pavement, and construction of new splash pad and supporting parking lot and utilities.

Michigan DNR Recreation Passport grant funding source is being used for the project and relevant State or federal requirements apply. The Contractor and all Sub-Contractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 2019-09, as amended.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Sealed Bids bearing the project name as well as the name and address of the bidder shall be submitted to City of Sturgis, City Manager’s Office, 130 N. Nottawa, Sturgis, Michigan 49091. Electronic contract documents can be obtained online from the Abonmarche website, found at http://www.abonmarche.com/bids. There is no fee for registration on the plan holder’s list and download of electronic bidding documents. Hard copies are available from ABONMARCHE, 95 W. Main Street, Benton Harbor, Michigan, 49022 (269) 927-2295. The fee for obtaining a hard copy documents is Fifty Dollars ($50.00). An additional Ten Dollars ($10.00) will be charged for plans requiring shipping. General Specifications, description and conditions upon which the bid proposal is to be based are on file for examination at the office of the Engineer, Abonmarche, 95 West Main Street, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Sturgis will be required with each bid as security for the proper execution of the contract. A 100% Labor, Material, and Performance Bond will be required of successful bidder.

No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninty (90) days after the scheduled opening without consent of the OWNER. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in bidding or to accept the bid, consistent with law, which best serves the interest of the Owner.
